Due to the New Angular integration in WS_FTP Server 9.0.1, there are some changes in the Path and images are sorted accordingly.

FOR BRANDING THE WEB TRANSFER OR AD HOC TRANSFER MODULES ON  WS_FTP SERVER v8.8 and 9.0 SEE How to customize the Web Transfer Module INSTEAD.

The following describes how to customize the Web Transfer and Ad Hoc Transfer module interface with company/organization colors, logos, etc.

NOTE: The customization of these modules is not supported by Progress, and no support will be provided outside of this article's contents.

WARNING: Backup of the assets folder for each module after customization as any upgrade of WS_FTP Server will overwrite the customization and return the files to default. It is also recommended to make a backup of the original assets folder in case any issue occurs that requires the defaults files to be restored.

Customizing these modules requires the editing of image files for the site. Many of these images use transparency, so it is recommended to use Photoshop, Gimp, or other photo editing software that supports transparent PNGs.

Note: The Installation directory depends where WS_FTP Server is installed. By default its C:\ but this can change if User tries a different drive to install the WS_FTP Server Application. Accordingly the below links will change to respective Drive locations.

Customizing the Web Transfer Module
The default location for these images is:

In WS_FTP Server Version 8.8.10 and 9.0.1

OR

OR

The images that can be changed for the Web Transfer Module are as follows:

LogoWS_FTPWebTransferTag.PNG - Login page banner, mid-page (the text is all white and may look like a blank image in some viewer)

Optional: In WS_FTP Server 8.8 and 9.0

Other images such as I_AddFolder_40.PNG, I_Collapse_16.PNG, etc. are for smaller icons on the page, and can be edited if needed.

In WS_FTP Server version 9.0.1

I_Collapse_16.PNG is not present.
I_AddFolder_40.PNG is present and can be edited if needed.

Customizing the Ad Hoc Transfer Module

The default location for these images is:

In WS_FTP Server Version 8.8.10 and 9.0.1

C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public\assets\images
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public\assets\images

In WS_FTP Server version 8.8 and 9.0

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public\css\images
OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public\css\images

The images that can be changed for the Ad Hoc Transfer Module are as follows:

LogoWS_FTPAdHocTag.PNG - Login page banner, mid-page
LoginBackArtWS_FTP.PNG - Background artwork on the login page
LogoWS_FTPAdHoc164x58.PNG - Logo at the top-left of the page after logging in
IpswitchNavArtWidget_33x28.PNG - Small image at the top-right of the page after logging in
DragandDrop. PNG - The drag and drop instructional image

Specific in Version 9.0.1 and 8.8.10, we would find stripes as a background while changing the logo.

This can be observed post upgrade to version 8.8.10 and 9.0.1. To remove the "stripes" image from the login page check below

- For WTM- go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\WS_FTP Server\WebClients\ThinClient\WTM\public OR C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public

- For AHT - Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public OR C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\WS_FTP Server\WebClients\ThinClient\WTM\public
- open index.html with any text editor
- add the following under the <body> tag:

<style>

       .login-background {

                background-image: none !important;

}

</style>

Note: This particular issue with the Stripes appearing at the background while customizing AHT or WTM/Thinclient has been fixed in WS_FTP Server Version 9.0.2 and 8.8.11.

In WS_FTP Server Version 9.0.1 and above,

When a Package is sent by an AHT user to a recipient and the person opens the link to access the AHT WEB UI, the page shows the LOGO at the main banner page.
To change this logo to display your Company's logo or customize and rebrand it, please follow the steps.

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\WS_FTP Server\Ad Hoc Transfer\AHT\AHT_UI\public\media
2. Replace the file "LogoWS_FTPAdHocTag-QO2ULGE4.PNG" with the desired logo file but keep the same name.

1. In WS_FTP Server version 8.8.10 and 9.0.1, there is one .svg file (LogoIPSWITCHWS_FTPWebTransferTag) located at the Web Transfer Module image folder. This file is only referenced on certain browsers or devices, however this should be edited to display company logo properly across all the Browsers. Edit the files in a program that supports .svg files. search for the svg file names, and change their extension to .png to reference those images instead. Please refer Technical Support for assistance on editing SVG files. Note: In WS_FTP Server 8.8.11 and 9.0.2 the .SVG file is Removed.
2. Once the file has been edited and saved , there is no need to restart IIS for the changes to take effect.  It may be necessary to refresh/reload the affected pages in the web browser.
3. In WS_FTP Server version 9.0.2 and 8.8.11, there are no .SVG files for editing.
4. No Images should be added from older versions of WS_FTP Server to Version 9.0.1.
5. Note: The customization of these modules is not supported by Progress, and no support will be provided outside of this article's contents
